Cowboys and Indians, boots and spurs, and warm biscuits and coffee over a fire are some of the things that take us back to a simpler time (waaay before my time, lol). But I believe nothing epitomizes the beauty of Texas heritage more than a good old-fashioned cattle drive.
The Western Heritage Parade and Cattle Drive is only one of the many events that helps to kick off the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo which is now only days away. Yesterday was the first San Antonio cattle drive that I attended and I was lucky enough to snap a couple pictures of the cattle before they proceeded through the heart of downtown.
The cattle drive started downtown under Ih-35 and continued down Houston Street. It came to a finish at the Alamo where plenty of family friendly events were happening. Check out this super quick video clip of the cattle drive and my friend Rachel who I met up with at the event.
